Okay, let me tell you, this Noah’s Pudding, it’s a thing, you know? We used to make it all the time back in the day. Good stuff, that. This here Noah’s Pudding ingredients, you gotta get ’em right, or it ain’t gonna be no good.

First thing, you need wheat. Not that fancy stuff, just regular wheat. That’s the main thing in this Noah’s Pudding, see? Gotta have that. And beans, yeah, beans. White beans, you know? And you know those dried fruits? Like apricot and raisins, you need a lot of them. Make it sweet, you see? Sugar, of course, gotta have sugar. How else you gonna make it sweet?

This here is old time food. Noah’s pudding, they call it. Heard some folks call it Ashure. Don’t matter what you call it, it’s still good eatin’. We always made a big pot of it. Fed the whole family, it did.

You cook that wheat up good, make it soft. Same with the beans. Takes a while, yeah, but it’s worth it. Then you throw in them dried fruits and the sugar. Stir it up good. Let it cook some more.

We also used to put nuts in it, too. Whatever kind we had. Walnuts, hazelnuts, whatever you got, throw it in. Some folks use fresh fruits. It depends on what you like.

This Noah’s Pudding, it ain’t no quick thing. Gotta let it simmer, you know? Low and slow, that’s the way. Let all them flavors get to know each other. Makes it taste real good.

Here’s what you gonna need. I’ll make you a list. Makes it easier, see?

  • Wheat – plain ol’ wheat, the main thing.
  • White beans – gotta have ’em.
  • Dried Apricots – makes it sweet.
  • Raisins – more sweetness, yeah.
  • Sugar – lots of it, gotta be sweet.
  • Walnuts – if you got ’em.
  • Hazelnuts – these too, if you have them.
  • Water – cook everything in it.

Now, some folks, they like to add other things. Like, they might put in some chickpeas. Or maybe some of those, what do you call ’em, lima beans? Sure, why not? This here Noah’s Pudding recipe, it’s flexible, you see. You can put in what you like.

And spices! Some people add spices. Like, warm spices, make you feel good inside. But I always think it is good even you don’t add spices.

One time, my neighbor, she put in some, uh, coconut. Fresh coconut. Said it made it taste fancy. Maybe it did, I don’t know. I like it just fine the old way. With wheat, beans, fruits, sugar, nuts and water.

This here pudding, it’s old. Real old. They say Noah, yeah, that Noah from the bible, he made it first. After that big flood, you know? He put everything he had left in a pot, and that was it. That’s what they say, anyway.

It is a dessert. Yeah, sweet. You eat it after supper. It is really good. Fill you right up.

Now, you take that pot, a big one, yeah? Put in the wheat, the rice, if you use rice, and a whole bunch of water. Like, 12 cups. Yeah, that much. You cook it over medium heat. Not too hot, not too low. Just right. You cook it till it’s tender, you know? Soft.

Then you put in all them other things. The dried fruits, the sugar, the nuts. Stir it up good. Let it cook some more. You want it to get thick, like a pudding, see? Not too watery.

Then after a long time cooking, you just put it in a bowl. A big bowl. And you let it cool down. Don’t eat it hot, you’ll burn your tongue. When it is not so hot, you can eat it.

Noah’s pudding ingredients are simple. It is an easy make dessert. It is good for you. Healthy. Dried fruits, beans, wheat, nuts. All good stuff. Make you strong.

This Noah’s Pudding, it’s good any time. We used to make it special times, but you can make it any time you want. Just need to get them ingredients, that’s all. And a big pot. And some time.

So, there you go. That’s about all I know about Noah’s Pudding. It’s good stuff. You should try it sometime. Just remember what I told you about them ingredients. Gotta get ’em right. Wheat, beans, dried fruits, sugar, nuts and water. That’s the main thing. And cook it slow. Low and slow. You will like it. I am sure.
