Okay, so I’ve always wanted to learn how to cook Thai food. It’s just so darn tasty! So, I finally decided to sign up for a Thai cuisine cooking class. Let me tell you, it was an experience!
First off, I searched for a good cooking class around my area. It had to be hands-on, you know? I wanted to get my hands dirty, not just watch someone else cook. After reading some reviews, I picked one that seemed legit and booked a spot.

When the day came, I was so pumped! I arrived at the class, and the place smelled amazing. Spices and herbs everywhere! We started with an introduction to Thai ingredients. I learned about galangal, kaffir lime leaves, and all sorts of cool stuff that I had never even heard of before.
Then, the fun part began – cooking! We made a bunch of dishes, like green curry, pad thai, and tom yum soup.
- The instructor showed us how to properly chop the veggies and prepare the meat.
- We learned to balance the flavors – sweet, sour, spicy, and salty. It’s like a science, really.
- I even learned how to make curry paste from scratch, which was super interesting, and now i am able to make a bunch of curry related thai cuisine.
The instructor was patient and explained everything step-by-step. We all got to try our own cooking, and it was surprisingly delicious! I mean, I actually made something that tasted like real Thai food. I was so proud of myself, I definitely ate it all! Also, I took notes during the cooking class, which will help me when I try to make these dishes on my own.
By the end of the class, I was stuffed but happy.
To sum it up
I had an amazing time, learned a ton, and now I feel confident enough to try cooking Thai food at home. I might even invite some friends over for a Thai feast. Wish me luck!
