Okay, so I’ve been seeing these RumChata pudding shots all over the internet, and they looked so darn good I just had to try them out. Plus, who doesn’t love a good boozy dessert? Here’s how my little experiment went.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I grabbed all the ingredients I needed. Nothing too crazy, just some instant pudding mix (I went with cheesecake flavor because, yum!), milk, and of course, the star of the show, RumChata. I also picked up some little plastic cups, you know, the ones you use for Jell-O shots. We need our pudding shots to be portable, right?

Mixing It Up
Next up, I dumped the pudding mix into a big bowl and whisked it together with some cold milk. You gotta make sure it’s nice and smooth, no lumps allowed. Once it was all combined, I poured in the RumChata. I didn’t measure it exactly, just kind of eyeballed it until it looked like the right amount of boozy goodness. Let’s just say I was generous. I mean, the more the merrier, especially on weekends!
Then came the fun part – spooning the mixture into the little cups. I tried to be neat about it, but I definitely made a bit of a mess. No biggie, easy clean up. After filling all the cups, I popped them in the fridge to set. I think they’re supposed to chill for at least a couple of hours, but honestly, I couldn’t wait that long. Maybe an hour tops? The suspense was killing me.
Taste Test Time!
Finally, it was time to try these bad boys out. I took one out of the fridge, grabbed a spoon, and dug in. Oh. My. Goodness. They were even better than I expected! The cheesecake flavor was amazing with the creamy, cinnamon-y taste of the RumChata. It was like a little party in my mouth. I might have also used some chocolate pudding mix in another batch. That is just chef’s kiss, if I may say so myself!
The Verdict
These RumChata pudding shots are a definite winner in my book. They’re super easy to make, taste delicious, and are perfect for a get-together or just a fun treat. I’ll definitely be making these again. Maybe next time I’ll experiment with different pudding flavors. White chocolate or even banana could also be good. The possibilities are endless! Cheers to that!
