Man, I gotta tell you about this place I hit up the other day – Red 8 Asian Cuisine & Sushi Bar. Sounds fancy, right? Well, it kinda was, but in a good way. So, here’s the deal. I was craving some good Asian food, not just your average takeout, you know? Something a little more… upscale. I heard about this spot called Red 8 from a buddy, said they had some killer sushi and a bunch of other dishes.
First off, I pulled up to the place and the outside looked pretty slick. Nice building, clean, definitely gave off a good vibe. Walked in and the inside was even better. Got seated right away, which was nice ’cause I was starving. The place was buzzing, but not in an annoying way, just a good energy.

The Menu
Flipped open the menu and my eyes just about popped out of my head. So many choices! They had your classic Chinese dishes, some Thai stuff, and a whole section for sushi. I spent a good ten minutes just trying to decide what to get.
- Tons of appetizers – spring rolls, dumplings, you name it.
- A bunch of different soups.
- Noodle dishes galore – chow mein, lo mein, pad thai, the works.
- Then there’s the main courses – beef, chicken, seafood, all with different sauces and styles.
- And of course, the sushi. Rolls, sashimi, nigiri… they had it all.
What I Ordered
After a lot of back and forth, I ended up going with the Kung Pao Chicken, some veggie spring rolls to start, and a spicy tuna roll. Figured that was a good mix to get a feel for the place. Placed my order with the waiter, who was super friendly by the way. He gave me some recommendations and helped me narrow down my choices. Really appreciated that, honestly.
The Food
Alright, so the food arrived pretty quickly. The spring rolls came out first, piping hot and crispy. They were packed with veggies and had a nice flavor, not greasy at all. Good start.
Next came the main course and the sushi. The Kung Pao Chicken was on point. Good amount of spice, tender chicken, and the sauce was delicious. The spicy tuna roll was also really solid. Fresh fish, good rice, and just the right amount of heat. I devoured the whole thing, no problem.
The Verdict
Overall, I was super happy with Red 8. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was really nice. It wasn’t cheap, but you get what you pay for, right? I definitely recommend checking this place out if you’re looking for some good quality Asian cuisine. I’ll be back for sure, maybe next time I’ll try some of their other sushi rolls or maybe a noodle dish. They had this one with wide rice noodles that looked amazing…
Anyway that is how I found this place, and now it becomes one of my favorite places for Asian food.
