Okay, so I’ve been wanting one of those cool refrigerator beverage dispensers for a while now. You know, the kind you see at parties where you can just press a button and get a drink? I finally decided to just go for it and make one myself.
Getting Started
First, I measured the inside of my fridge to see how much space I had to work with. I wanted something that could hold a decent amount of liquid without taking up the whole shelf.

I picked up a large, rectangular plastic container from the store – the kind with a snap-on lid. I also grabbed a spigot, some tubing, and a few other bits and pieces I thought I might need.
The Build Process
- I started by drilling a hole near the bottom of the container for the spigot. I had to be extra careful to the instruction, because of leakage, to avoid any leakage.
- Then I attached some plastic on the inside of the spigot.
- Next, I figured out how to place the container, and checked it wouldn’t be toppled over.
Setting Everything Up
Once everything was assembled, I placed in the refrigerator,I was exciting.
I filled it with some ice water to test it out. Success! It worked perfectly.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, this project turned out to be way easier than I expected. It only took me a couple of hours, and now I have a super convenient way to dispense drinks right from my fridge. I’m already thinking about what I want to put in it next – maybe some homemade iced tea or lemonade!.
