Okay, so yesterday I was craving some ribs, but I didn’t want to go through the whole ordeal of firing up the smoker. I decided to hit up the grocery store and see what I could find. It’s a quicker way if I could pick up some ready-to-eat ribs.
First things first, I headed straight to the meat section. I scanned the shelves and I saw all kind of meats, I was looking for ready-to-cook or even better, fully-cooked ribs.

- Sometimes they’re near the other pre-packaged meats.
- Sometimes with the marinated stuff.
Check the Deli!
I asked a worker where should I go if there isn’t any in meat section. The guy told me to go check the deli section. I felt so stupid and went to the deli section immeditatly.
And guess what? Boom! There they were, all nicely packaged and ready to go. They had a few different kinds, like baby backs and spare ribs, and even some with different sauces. Some places will even heat them up for you right there, which is awesome if you’re super hungry.
Don’t Forget the Sides!
After I grabbed a rack of ribs (I went with the baby backs, they looked the meatiest), I figured I might as well pick up some sides. I grabbed some potato salad and coleslaw from the deli, too. You can’t have ribs without the classic sides, right?
Finally, I paid for all the stuffs at the checkout. Took them all to my home.
Once I got home, I just popped those ribs in the oven for a bit to warm them up (even though they were already cooked, I like them piping hot), slapped on some extra barbecue sauce (because, why not?), and dug in. Seriously, they were pretty darn good for grocery store ribs!
So, yeah, that’s my little grocery store rib adventure. Super easy, pretty quick, and definitely satisfied my craving. Next time you’re in a pinch and need a rib fix, don’t underestimate the grocery store!
