Okay, so I’ve been craving some good Thai food lately. I decided to finally try and recreate some of my favorite dishes at home, starting with figuring out what to even make! That meant I needed a good menu to work from, so I went on a hunt for a “similan thai cuisine menu”.
First, I just did a simple search. You know, typed it into the search bar and hoped for the best.

I scrolled through a bunch of results, mostly restaurant websites and delivery services.
I clicked on a few that looked promising, and carefully looked at their menus, taking mental notes of dishes that sounded tasty, and that I actually thought I could make.
- Found some classic dishes like Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Tom Yum Soup.
- Saw some interesting appetizers like spring rolls and satay.
- Noticed a good variety of noodle and rice dishes too.
I also looked at different restaurant versions of the menu, because, you know, everyone does things a little differently. I wanted to get a feel for the range of options.
I opened my note app on my phone and jotted down the names of the dishes that kept popping up,and wrote down the ones I was most excited about.
My “Similan Thai Cuisine” Inspired Menu Plan:
- Appetizer: Fresh Spring Rolls (because they seem easier than fried!)
- Main Course: Green Curry with Chicken (a classic, can’t go wrong)
- Side: Jasmine Rice (gotta have something to soak up that curry!)
I feel good with list, Now I have a starting point! Next step is to look for recipes.
