Alright, listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya how to make these here candy things, real easy-like. We call ’em mound bars, but you can call ’em whatever you want. Ain’t got no fancy names for stuff where I come from. Just good eatin’.

So, these mound bars with 3 ingredients, that’s all ya need. Yep, just three! Don’t need no fancy kitchen gadgets or nothin’. Just a bowl, a spoon, and a little bit of elbow grease, you know, like makin’ biscuits.

First thing’s first, you gotta get yourself some sweetened condensed milk. You know, that thick, sweet stuff in a can? Not the evaporated milk, mind you. That’s different. Get the right stuff, or it ain’t gonna work. This here milk, it’s the glue that holds everything together, see? Like the cement in a brick wall, but way tastier.

Next up, you need coconut. Now, I like the shredded kind, the kind that looks like little white worms. But you can use whatever kind you got, I reckon. Just make sure it ain’t sweetened, ’cause that milk is sweet enough already, Lord have mercy! Don’t wanna rot your teeth out before you even get to enjoy these things.

  • Ingredient 1: Sweetened Condensed Milk – The sticky stuff, remember?
  • Ingredient 2: Unsweetened Shredded Coconut – Like little white worms, but tasty.
  • Ingredient 3: Chocolate Chips – The good kind, semi-sweet or dark, whatever you fancy.

And last but not least, you gotta have chocolate. I use them little chocolate chips, the kind you put in cookies. You can use whatever kind you like, though. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, even white chocolate if you’re feelin’ fancy. But I like the semi-sweet kind myself. Not too bitter, not too sweet, just right, like a good cup of coffee after church. But we ain’t makin’ coffee now, we’re makin’ candy!

Okay, so here’s how you do it. It’s so easy, a blindfolded squirrel could do it. First, dump that whole can of sweetened condensed milk into a bowl. Yep, the whole thing. Don’t be shy now. Then, dump in your coconut. All of it. Stir it up real good, till it’s all mixed together. You want it to be nice and thick, like mud after a good rain.

Now, take a spoon and scoop out little blobs of that coconut mixture. Put ’em on a plate or a piece of wax paper or somethin’. You don’t want ’em stickin’ to the counter, now do ya? Make ’em whatever size you want. Big ones, small ones, it don’t matter. Just make sure they’re all about the same size, so they cook even, you know, like tater tots.

Then, you gotta melt that chocolate. You can do it in the microwave, or in a double boiler if you’re fancy like that. I just use the microwave. Thirty seconds at a time, stirrin’ it in between, till it’s all smooth and melty. Don’t burn it, though! Burnt chocolate tastes like somethin’ the devil coughed up.

Once the chocolate’s melted, take them coconut blobs and dunk ’em in the chocolate. Coat ’em real good, all over. Use a fork to fish ’em out, so you don’t get chocolate all over your fingers. Then, put ’em back on that plate or wax paper. Let ’em sit for a while, till the chocolate hardens up. You can put ’em in the fridge if you’re in a hurry, but I just leave ’em on the counter.

And that’s it! You’re done. See? I told ya it was easy. Now you got yourself some homemade mounds bars. They’re quick and easy to make, and they taste a whole lot better than that store-bought stuff, let me tell ya. Perfect for when you got a sweet tooth and don’t wanna spend all day in the kitchen. No-bake and ready in a jiffy! They got a perfect balance of chocolate and coconut flavors, just like the good Lord intended. And the best part? You made ’em yourself! So go on, have a bite. You deserve it.

These chewy, chocolatey snacks are gonna be gone before you know it, especially if you got grandkids around. So you might wanna make a double batch. And don’t forget to share! Nothin’ tastes better than somethin’ you made with love, even if it’s just a simple little candy bar. Now, go on, get outta here and get cookin’!
