Okay, so the other day I was craving something hearty and warm, and I thought, why not try making beef tips and noodles? And let me tell you, using the crock-pot was the best decision ever. It’s so easy and the results are amazing.
First, I grabbed some beef stew meat from the fridge. I made sure all the pieces were about the same size so they’d cook evenly. Then, I put all the beef into my trusty crock-pot.

Next, I sprinkled some Lipton onion soup mix and a packet of brown gravy mix over the beef. I love how those mixes add so much flavor without needing a bunch of different spices.
After that, I just poured in some cream of mushroom soup. It’s the secret ingredient that makes the gravy super rich and creamy. I mixed everything together to make sure the beef was coated well.
Then, I just set the crock-pot to low and let it do its thing for about 6-8 hours. You could do high for 3-4 hours too, if you’re in a rush. The waiting is the hardest part, but trust me, it’s worth it.
While the beef was cooking, I had plenty of time to do other things around the house. When it was almost time to eat, I boiled some water and cooked up some wide egg noodles. They only take a few minutes, so it’s super quick.
Once the noodles were done, I drained them and then added them to the crock-pot with the beef. I gave everything a good stir to combine. The noodles soak up that delicious gravy and become so flavorful.
Finally, it was time to eat! I served up big bowls of this goodness, and my family absolutely loved it. The beef was so tender, it practically melted in our mouths, and the noodles were perfectly coated in that rich, savory gravy.
- Here’s what I used:
- Beef stew meat, about 2 pounds
- 1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 can (10.75 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
This crock-pot beef tips and noodles is definitely going to be a regular in our dinner rotation. It’s easy, delicious, and perfect for a cozy night in. You gotta try it!
