Alright, so yesterday I got this craving for Mexican food, you know, the real stuff. My friend told me about this place, Sol y Luna, said it’s pretty authentic. I thought, “Why not?” and decided to check it out.
First off, getting there was a bit of a journey. It’s tucked away on Ventura Boulevard. I drove around a bit before finally finding it. The place looked lively from the outside, with warm lights and all that.
I walked in, and it was packed! I mean, every table was filled. It was around 6 PM on a regular weekday, which was surprising. I guess it’s a popular spot in the neighborhood. Anyway, I managed to get a table after a short wait.
The inside was nice. It had this cool vibe with lots of Mexican art on the walls, colorful and vibrant. It felt like I was stepping into a different world, you know? Not just your usual dinner spot.
Now, about the food. I’m a big fan of burritos, so that’s what I went for. They also had tamales, tacos, enchiladas, and a bunch of other stuff. The menu was huge! It was hard to choose, to be honest. But yeah, I stuck with my usual burrito.

After the main course, I was pretty full, but the waiter convinced me to try their dessert. He said it’s a must-try. I’m not big on sweets, but I thought, “When in Rome, right?” So I ordered their flan. And wow, it was amazing! It was so creamy and sweet, but not too overpowering. It was the perfect way to end the meal.
I finished my dessert and just sat there for a bit, enjoying the atmosphere. The place was still buzzing with people, and there was this lively chatter all around. It was a really nice vibe, I must say.

Finally, it was time to pay up and head home. I got the bill, and it was pretty reasonable for the quality and amount of food I had. I paid, left a good tip, and walked out feeling satisfied.
All in all, it was a great experience. I’d definitely go back to Sol y Luna. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was just perfect.
