Okay, so, “starry beverages,” right? Sounds fancy, but it’s actually pretty simple, and super fun to make. I wanted to try something different for a little get-together I was having, and this was perfect.
Getting Started
First, I had to figure out what I even wanted these drinks to look like. I did some searching online for inspiration. The idea is that these drinks will look something similar to space or starry nights. And I found some nice options, now its time for me to experiment.

Experiment time!
The Experiment. First, I grabbed a bunch of clear sodas – you know, Sprite, 7-Up, that kind of thing. I figured the clear base would be best for showing off the colors. I also picked up some different colored juices, like cranberry, blue raspberry, and even some pineapple juice for a yellow-ish tone.
- Clear soda (Sprite, 7-Up, etc.)
- Various colored juices (cranberry, blue raspberry, pineapple)
- Edible glitter (silver and gold)
- Ice
- Optional: Fresh fruit for garnish (berries, starfruit)
Then came the fun part – mixing! I started by pouring some soda into a glass, then slowly adding a bit of the blue raspberry juice. It created this cool, layered effect. I did the same with the cranberry, making a sort of reddish-purple layer at the bottom.
Adding the Sparkle. Now, for the “starry” part, I got some edible glitter – silver and gold. I sprinkled a tiny bit of silver into the blue layer, and it instantly looked like a mini galaxy! Seriously, it was so cool. I added a little gold to the reddish layer, just to see how it would look, and it gave it this warm, sunset vibe.
Putting it all Together
I played around with different combinations, layering the juices and adding glitter in different spots. Some I mixed completely, others I left with distinct layers. Honestly, there’s no real wrong way to do it, it’s all about what looks cool to you.
The Final Touch. Once I was happy with the colors and the sparkle, I added some ice. If you want to get really fancy, you could use those big, round ice cubes, but regular ice works just fine. And for a final touch, I threw in a few fresh berries – some blueberries and raspberries – just to make it look a little extra special.
And, Boom, done! Super easy, but the result will surprise everyone! I really enjoyed doing this! You guys should try this at home!
