Okay, here is my blog post about the state fair desserts:
Man, I love going to the state fair. The rides, the games, the people-watching… it’s all great. But let’s be real, the best part is the food. And not just any food, the desserts! I’m talking about those crazy, over-the-top, only-at-the-fair kind of sweets.

So, this year, I decided to make it my mission to try as many state fair desserts as possible. I grabbed my stretchy pants and my best friend, and we headed out to the fairgrounds.
First up, we tried the Fried Pickle Chips. I know, it sounds weird, but trust me, it works. These things were crispy, salty, and tangy all at the same time. It said that it’s typically dipped in a comeback sauce, I didn’t see it at the fair, what a pity! We found it at Dickel’s Smokehouse at Cotton Bowl Plaza and First Avenue, it’s so delicious!
Next, we moved on to the State Fair Crescent Cheese Curds. These were basically little balls of fried cheese, and they were amazing. They were crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and just overall delicious.
- We ate until we couldn’t eat anymore.
- We tried all sorts of other crazy desserts, like deep-fried candy bars and funnel cake.
- We had a blast, and we definitely didn’t regret our decision to wear stretchy pants.
By the end of the day, we were stuffed and happy. We had experienced the true meaning of state fair desserts, and we couldn’t wait to come back next year and do it all over again.
Some Tips
- Go with a friend so you can share everything and try more things.
- Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, because you’re going to be doing a lot of walking and eating.
- Don’t be afraid to try something new! You might be surprised at how much you like it.
I hope to see you guys next time at the fair, bye!
