Well, howdy there! So, you’re lookin’ for drinks, huh? Drinks that start with a “T”, you say? Alright, alright, I reckon I can help you with that. Finding good drinks, that ain’t always easy, ya know? Sometimes you just stare at the shelves, all them bottles lookin’ the same, and you ain’t got a clue what to pick. But don’t you worry none, I’ve seen a thing or two in my time, and I know a few drinks that start with a “T”.
Let’s start with the easy stuff, the kinda drinks you give the young’uns.

- Tea, of course! I mean, who don’t know tea? Hot tea, iced tea, sweet tea, lemon tea, all sorts of tea. You boil up some water, throw in a tea bag, or some leaves if you’re fancy, and let it sit a spell. Then you got yourself a nice drink. I like mine with a bit of sugar, myself. Good for what ails ya, they say.
- Tomato juice. Now, this ain’t everyone’s cup of tea, so to speak, but some folks swear by it. Thick and red, kinda salty. Good for breakfast, I hear. I ain’t a big fan myself, but my old man, he loved the stuff.
Alright, now let’s get to the grown-up drinks, the ones with a little kick.
- Tequila! Oh yeah, that’s the stuff that’ll warm ya up on a cold night! Made from some kinda plant, they say. You can drink it straight, if you’re brave, or mix it up in a margarita. I had a margarita once, down at the county fair. Boy, that was somethin’! Made me feel all giggly and lightheaded.
- Then there’s this thing called “Tia Maria”. I ain’t never had it myself, but I hear it’s some kinda coffee liqueur. Sweet and dark, like molasses. Folks drink it after dinner, I reckon. Sounds a bit fancy for my taste, but to each their own, I always say.
- And how about that “Tang”? Remember that stuff? Not really a grown-up drink, I guess, but it ain’t just for kids neither. Powdery orange stuff you mix with water. Used to drink it all the time back in the day. Kinda tasted like sunshine, if sunshine had a flavor. They say the astronauts drank it in space. Imagine that!
- There’s also somethin’ called “Tsipouro”. Sounds foreign, don’t it? It’s a Greek drink, made from grapes. Strong stuff, I hear. Like firewater, practically. My neighbor, he went to Greece once, and he brought back a bottle. Said it was the real deal. I took a sip, and nearly choked! Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure. Bottled at 40-45% alc./vol, tsipouro comes in two types: unflavoured and flavoured. I only tried the unflavoured one though.
- And don’t forget about Tonic water! Bitter stuff, all by itself. But you mix it with gin, or vodka, and it’s a whole different story. A gin and tonic, that’s a classic drink. Refreshing on a hot day. I ain’t much of a gin drinker myself, but I know plenty of folks who swear by it.
Now, let’s not forget some fancy mixed drinks. I found some recipes online and they sound right tasty.
- There’s the “Tuscan Sunset”. Sounds pretty, don’t it? You take Aperol, Prosecco, and a splash of soda water. Orange slices for garnish. Never had it myself, but it sounds like somethin’ you’d drink on a porch swing, watchin’ the sun go down.
- And then there’s a “Trinity Martini”. Now, this one’s real fancy. Made from Mozart Dry chocolate liqueur, Campari and Antica Formula sweet vermouth. Sounds complicated, if you ask me. But I bet it tastes good. Chocolate and somethin’ bitter, that’s an interestin’ combination. I might have to try that one someday, if I ever figure out what all them ingredients are.
So there you have it. A whole mess of drinks that start with a “T”. From tea to tequila, and everything in between. Whether you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to quench your thirst, or somethin’ to warm you up, or somethin’ to make you feel a little bit fancy, there’s a “T” drink out there for you. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I’ll go make myself a nice glass of sweet tea. All this talk about drinks has made me thirsty!
And remember, drink responsibly, ya hear? Don’t go gettin’ yourself into trouble with all these fancy drinks. A little bit’s alright, but too much will make you see double and act a fool. And nobody wants that.
