So, I’ve been meaning to check out this Mexican joint, Tekila, for a while now. Heard some good things, you know? Finally got around to it last night, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience.
Made the Reservation
First things first, I called ahead to make a reservation. Didn’t want to risk showing up and having to wait, especially on a weekend. The guy on the phone was super friendly, got us a table for two at 7 PM, no problem.

Arrived at the Restaurant
We got there a little early, around 6:45. The place was already buzzing, which is always a good sign. It’s got this cool, rustic vibe, with exposed brick walls and dim lighting. Felt cozy and inviting right away.
Checked in with the Host
Walked up to the host stand, told them we had a reservation. The hostess was a sweetheart, found our name right away, and showed us to our table. It was a nice little spot by the window, perfect for people-watching.
Got the Menus
Our server, a guy named Miguel, came over pretty quickly. Super friendly dude, handed us the menus and asked if we wanted to start with any drinks. We ordered a couple of margaritas – when in a Mexican restaurant, right?
Ordered the Food
- Appetizer: We decided to share the guacamole and chips.
- Main Course: I went for the chicken enchiladas, and my friend ordered the steak fajitas.
- Drinks: Stuck with the margaritas, they were pretty good.
Enjoyed the Meal
The food arrived after a bit of a wait, but it was worth it. The guac was fresh and flavorful, and the chips were warm and crispy. My enchiladas were amazing – the chicken was tender, and the sauce had just the right amount of kick. My friend’s fajitas looked and smelled incredible, and she confirmed they tasted as good as they looked.
Asked for the Check
After we finished stuffing our faces, Miguel came back to check on us. We were pretty full, so we skipped dessert and asked for the check.
Paid and Left
The bill came to about $60, which I thought was pretty reasonable for the quality of the food and the overall experience. We paid, left a nice tip for Miguel, and headed out.
All in all, it was a great night at Tekila. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was just right. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for some good Mexican food.
