Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my kitchen, trying to get it more organized. You know, the usual struggle – too much stuff, not enough space. I finally decided to tackle the chaos, and I wanted to share what I did, step-by-step. It’s all about “kitchen spaces containers,” so let’s dive in.
The Starting Point: Total Mess
First, I took everything out. And I mean everything. Every drawer, every cabinet, every shelf… emptied. It was terrifying, like a food-themed explosion. But you gotta see the problem to fix it, right?

Sorting and Purging (The Hard Part)
Then, I started sorting. This was brutal. I had, like, five different kinds of pasta half-eaten, expired spices from 2018, and enough mismatched lids to open a lid-only store. I made three piles:
- Keep: Stuff I actually use and isn’t ancient.
- Donate: Things in good condition, but I don’t need ’em.
- Trash: Expired stuff, broken things, the mystery goo in the back of the fridge.
This part took the longest. Be honest with yourself! Do you REALLY need three potato mashers?
Container Time!
Now for the fun part! I got a bunch of containers. I’m talking clear plastic bins, some cute baskets, and those stackable drawer organizers. This is where “kitchen spaces containers” really comes into play. I used various containers:
- Clear Bins: For pasta, rice, snacks… so I can see what’s inside without rummaging.
- Baskets: For things like onions, potatoes, and fruit. It looks nicer than just having them on the counter.
- Drawer Organizers: For utensils, spices, and all those little things that get lost.
Putting it Back Together
I started putting things back, but with a system this time. I grouped similar items together. Baking stuff in one area, breakfast foods in another, snacks within easy reach (but not too easy, gotta have some self-control!).
The containers made a HUGE difference. Everything had a designated spot. No more shoving things randomly into cabinets!
The Final Result (And Keeping It That Way)
It took a whole day, but my kitchen is SO much better. It’s not perfect, but it’s functional. The key is to maintain it. Put things back in their containers after using them. Don’t let the clutter creep back in. It is a new habit needed to form.
It is great when cooking the meals, that I can quickly get what I need. I just hope to keep going with this method, haha.
