Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another project I tackled. Today, I’m diving into the world of crosswords, specifically a “Turkish cuisine entree crossword”. Sounds fancy, right? Well, let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. So, grab your tea or coffee, and let’s get into it.
I started this whole thing by looking up what the heck this crossword even meant. I found out it was last seen in some Newsday crossword. That didn’t help much, to be honest. But then I saw it—a clue that said “Turkish cuisine entree” with 6 letters. This got the ball rolling.

I began digging deeper, searching for any hints or tips. I stumbled upon a bunch of sites claiming they had the answer. Some said they had like 40 possible answers. I’m thinking, “40? Ain’t nobody got time for that!” But I kept pushing.
Then, I found something interesting. One of the answers that kept popping up was “pilaf.” It fit the 6-letter requirement, and it’s definitely a Turkish dish. I learned that pilaf is basically rice cooked in broth with onions, sometimes meat, or shellfish. Sounded legit.
Starting the Crossword
With a potential answer in hand, I decided to create my own crossword puzzle. I found this site that lets you make your own crossword with, like, 17 clues. Pretty cool, right? You can even add your own questions and images. I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
I started filling in the clues, using “pilaf” as one of the answers. I added a few more Turkish dishes I knew, like “kebab” and “dolma.” It was actually pretty fun, once I got the hang of it. I even threw in some tricky clues, just to make it a bit more challenging.
Hitting a Wall
But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. I hit a wall when I tried to incorporate some weird clues like those in square brackets with exclamation points. I read somewhere that these are called “verbalizations of invoked actions.” Sounded like gibberish to me. I spent a good chunk of time trying to figure out what that meant, but in the end, I just skipped those. No time for cryptic stuff.
Finishing Up
After a few hours of messing around, I finally finished my crossword. It wasn’t perfect, but it was mine. I printed it out, saved it as a PDF, and even as a Word Doc. Felt pretty accomplished, I’m not gonna lie.
So, that’s my story of tackling a “Turkish cuisine entree crossword.” It was a wild ride, full of ups and downs, but I got it done. If you’re into crosswords, give it a try. It’s a fun way to kill some time and learn a thing or two along the way.

Alright, that’s it for today’s post. Hope you enjoyed my little adventure. Catch you in the next one!
