Well now, let’s talk about them fancy beverage refrigerator cabinets, or whatever them city folks call ’em. I seen some pictures, and they look mighty nice, holdin’ all sorts of drinks, like them sodas and beers and even that wine stuff the rich folks drink.
First off, ya gotta figure out where you gonna put this here thing. Measure that space real good, ya hear? Don’t want to buy somethin’ too big and then have it sittin’ in the middle of the floor, lookin’ like a lost calf. If you’re squeezin’ it into a cabinet, make sure there’s enough room around it, ya know, for it to breathe. They say you need about two inches on the sides and back, and on top too, so it don’t get too hot and bothered.
Now, some of these things, they come all fancy, built right into a cabinet, like a special little house for your drinks. Some folks call ’em beverage centers or wine coolers, all sorts of names. I seen one that even had space for wine bottles, shiny and chrome-like. Looked real pretty, but probably costs a pretty penny too.
If you’re buyin’ the whole shebang, the cabinet and the fridge together, that’s one thing. But if you’re just gettin’ the fridge part and tryin’ to stick it in an old cabinet, well, that’s a whole ‘nother story. You gotta make sure that cabinet’s strong enough to hold it, and that there’s a plug nearby, unless you want to run an ugly cord all over the place. Them cords are a trippin’ hazard, ya know, especially for us old folks.

I heard tell there’s these things called “fridge panels” or somethin’ like that. They go around the fridge, makin’ it look all nice and neat. If you got old ones, you can fix ’em up yourself, if you’re the handy type. Saves ya some money, and gives ya somethin’ to do on a rainy day.
Now, some of these beverage fridges, they can hold a whole bunch of drinks. I seen one that could hold 120 cans! That’s enough for a whole party, I tell ya. And some of ’em are small, just for a few bottles of wine or soda. It all depends on what you need and how much space ya got.
If you’re lookin’ to buy one of these things, you can go to that “Wayfair” place, they got all sorts of stuff. Or you can get one of them fancy bar cabinets with the fridge built right in. I seen one for almost nine hundred dollars! That’s a lot of money, but I guess if you got it, you can spend it.
Some of these fridges got glass doors, so you can see all your drinks without openin’ it up. That’s handy, ’cause then you don’t let all the cold air out. And some of ’em got adjustable shelves, so you can fit in different sized bottles and cans. They even got ones that fit right under the counter, real neat and tidy.
So, if you’re thinkin’ about gettin’ a beverage refrigerator cabinet, just remember to measure, make sure there’s a plug, and leave some room for it to breathe. And don’t forget to shop around and find a good price. Them city folks are always tryin’ to charge too much, ya know.
One last thing, make sure you read the instructions before you start usin’ it. I know, I know, nobody likes to read instructions, but it’s important. You don’t want to break the thing before you even get to enjoy a cold drink.
