Okay, so today I want to talk about this whole “Queen Cuisine” thing, and let me tell you, it was a journey. I started by looking into what this “Classy Woman” wanted – a loaf of Benevolent Bread. Seemed simple enough, right? Wrong! This wasn’t your average grocery store bread. I had to gather some pretty unique ingredients.
First, I grabbed 1x Fragrant Spice. I had to think about what’s the meaning of “Fragrant Spice” in this quest. After getting that, I moved on to 1x Mellow Milk. I think that is easy to get, no need to explain too much about that. Finally, I got 1x Orgo Sugar. Then I mixed them all together and baked it until golden. And that’s how I made that bread.

But that was just the beginning. This whole queen thing got me thinking about royal meals. They’re not just throwing anything on a plate, you know? From what I gathered, lunch is usually light and simple. Dinner, though, is where things get interesting. It’s usually meat and vegetables, but not just any meat. We’re talking fish, pheasant, venison – the good stuff. And apparently, the Queen loves Dover sole with spinach and zucchini. Fancy, right?
Then I stumbled upon this whole “surasang” thing, which is basically a royal Korean meal setup. We’re talking three tables, folks! It’s a whole production. Two types of rice, two types of soup, two types of stew, jjim, jeongol, three types of kimchi, three types of jang, and twelve side dishes. And I thought, “Wow, that’s a lot of food!” I mean, I can barely decide what to make for dinner most nights, let alone a feast like this.
My Experiment
So, I decided to try making a few of these dishes. I picked out some recipes that seemed doable, nothing too crazy. Let me tell you, it was quite the experience. Prepping all those ingredients, following the steps, and hoping I didn’t mess anything up. I tried to keep it as authentic as I could, you know, using the right spices and everything. It took me all day, but I managed to cook it up.
- Roasted Pheasant: I got a pheasant from the local grocery store. I had never seen this kind of meat before. It was an interesting experience, but the roasting process was no different than roasting a chicken.
- Spicy Kimchi: The fermentation process was a bit of a challenge, but I followed the instructions as closely as possible and it turned out great.
- Rice Cake Soup: This was a new dish for me and a little complicated, but it ended up being really tasty.
And let me tell you, it was worth it. The food was delicious, and it was cool to experience a little bit of what it might be like to eat like royalty. It was a fun little culinary adventure, and I learned a lot along the way.
I mean, obviously, I’m no royal chef, but it was a fun little project. Plus, now I can say I’ve cooked a “royal” meal. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually get to cook for a real queen! A girl can dream, right?
