Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “rebel” drinks all over TikTok, and I finally caved and decided to try making one myself. I had zero clue what I was doing, honestly, but that’s half the fun, right?
Gathering My Supplies (aka Raiding the Fridge)
First things first, I needed some ingredients. I’m no barista, so I just grabbed whatever looked interesting:

- Some leftover iced coffee from this morning. Figured that could be a base.
- A can of sparkling water – the grapefruit kind, because why not?
- A splash of that pink lemonade my kid loves.
- Some frozen berries because it is my favorate.
- Ice, ice, baby! Gotta have ice.
The “Experiment” (aka Making a Mess)
I started by dumping a bunch of ice into a big glass. Then, I poured in the iced coffee, leaving a bit of room at the top. Next, I topped it off with the sparkling water. It fizzed up a lot, which was kinda cool.
I decided to get fancy and added a splash of the pink lemonade. Immediately, the drink turned this weird, murky color. Oops. I threw in a handful of forzen berries, hoping to make my drink look better.
The Taste Test (aka Surprisingly Not Terrible)
I took a sip, and… it wasn’t awful! It was actually kind of refreshing. The coffee and grapefruit flavors were a little strange together, but the sweetness from the lemonade and berries helped balance it out. It tasted like something you’d get at a fancy coffee shop, only made by someone who has absolutely no idea what they’re doing.
Final Thoughts (aka Would I Make It Again?)
Honestly, yeah, I probably would! It was fun to experiment and create something totally random. And even though it looked a little questionable, it tasted pretty good. I definitely wouldn’t call myself a mixologist or anything, but this “rebel beverage” experiment was a success in my book. Next time, I might try different combinations, maybe with some different fruits or syrups. The possibilities are endless, and that’s what makes it fun!
