Alright, let’s yak about this yama sushi place, you know, the one with all that Asian grub. I ain’t no fancy food critic or nothin’, just a regular person who likes to eat, ya hear? So, if you’re lookin’ for some highfalutin review, you best look elsewhere. This here’s just plain talk about food, the kind you can understand.
First off, this “Yama Sushi and Asian Cuisine” thing, it sounds real fancy-pants, don’t it? But don’t let that fool ya. It’s just food, plain and simple. They got sushi, which is that raw fish stuff, and then they got other Asian eats. Now, I ain’t had all of it, mind you, but I’ve had my share.
The Sushi Situation
Now, the sushi…it ain’t bad. I mean, it ain’t like the fish I used to catch back in the day, but it’s alright. They got all sorts of rolls, some with cooked stuff, some with raw. I like the ones with the cooked shrimp, them’s pretty good. And the rice, it’s sticky and kinda sweet, just the way it should be. But some of them raw ones, they taste a little…fishy, if ya know what I mean. Not bad fishy, just…fishy. My grandkids, they love it though, gobblin’ it down like it’s candy.
- The Good: Rice is good, cooked shrimp rolls are tasty.
- The Not-So-Good: Some raw ones are a bit too fishy for my taste.
- The Verdict: If you like sushi, you’ll probably like it here. If you’re picky, maybe stick to the cooked stuff.
Other Asian Goodies

Now, they don’t just have sushi, oh no. They got all sorts of other Asian food too. Noodles, rice dishes, soups…the whole shebang. I tried this one noodle dish, had some chicken and veggies in it. It was pretty darn good, I tell ya. Nice and hot, and the noodles weren’t all mushy like some places make ’em. And the chicken, it was cooked just right, not too dry, not too chewy. My husband, he got some kinda fried rice thing, said it was real good too. He ate the whole plate, and that man don’t usually eat that much, so it musta been somethin’ special.
The Place Itself
The place is clean, which is more than I can say for some restaurants I’ve been to. And the folks working there, they’re polite enough. They bring ya your food, they fill up your water glass…what more can ya ask for? It ain’t fancy, but it ain’t a dump neither. It’s just a nice, clean place to sit down and have a meal. They even got these fancy chopsticks, but I just ask for a fork. I ain’t got time for messin’ around with them little sticks.
The Bottom Line
So, here’s the deal. This Yama Sushi place, it’s a good place to eat. It ain’t the best food I’ve ever had, but it’s good, and it’s reasonably priced. If you’re lookin’ for a fancy night out, this ain’t it. But if you’re lookin’ for a good meal, without breakin’ the bank, then give it a try. You might just like it. They even have that DoorDash thing, so you can get food delivered right to your door. That’s what my neighbor did last week when she had all them kids over. Said it was a lifesaver.
And what’s more, they’re popular in Vienna, at least according to my nephew who always looking at the internet. Over a hundred thousand people visit their website every month. They do breakfast, burgers, pizza, all sorts of food, not just sushi and Asian! I tell ya, they’re tryin’ to feed the whole town!
Is it fancy like that Japanese tradition mixed with European stuff they talk about online? I don’t know about that. It just tastes good to me, and that’s all that matters. So go on, give it a shot. You won’t be sorry. And if you are, well, don’t come cryin’ to me. I just told ya what I thought.
And remember, this ain’t no fancy review. This is just plain talk, from a plain person, about plain food.
